Proclaim Cloud Hosting FAQs
Can Proclaim be hosted alongside our other legal software?
Yes. We can host Proclaim in the same environment as Virtual Cabinet, Microsoft 365 or other legal applications, with a single login point through our hosted desktop. This gives your fee earners seamless access to case management, document management and email from one place.
How is access to client matters controlled?
User access is controlled through Proclaim’s own permission system, with an additional layer of protection via Cisco Duo MFA at login. Client matters are only accessible to authenticated users with appropriate permissions, and every access attempt requires a second factor of authentication.
Is our data hosting GDPR compliant?
Yes. All client matters and case files are stored on our privately owned UK servers. Data never leaves the UK and is subject only to UK law. Our ISO 27001 certification provides the independently verified security framework that GDPR requires for processing personal and special category data on behalf of clients.
How long are Proclaim backups retained?
Daily backups are retained for 30 days. For longer-term retention requirements (for example SRA file retention obligations), Proclaim’s own archiving manages matter retention within the system, this is separate from our infrastructure backups.
Will hosting Proclaim affect performance for fee earners?
No. Our infrastructure is sized to deliver fast Proclaim response times whether fee earners are working from the office, home, court or a client site. Most firms report improved performance after migration compared to running Proclaim on an ageing on-premise server.
