What is a hosted VoIP phone system? +
A hosted VoIP system routes your business phone calls over the internet rather than traditional copper phone lines. The system is hosted in the cloud – there is no on-site PBX hardware to maintain. Your team can make and receive calls from desk phones, laptops or mobiles on the same number.
Can we keep our existing phone numbers? +
Yes. We manage the number porting process from start to finish. Your existing numbers transfer to the new system – no need to update stationery, your website or any marketing. Porting typically takes 10-15 working days.
Do we need fast broadband for VoIP to work well? +
VoIP calls use around 100kbps per simultaneous call – most business broadband connections handle this comfortably. We assess your connectivity as part of the setup process and can provide broadband alongside your phone system if an upgrade is needed.
What happens if our internet goes down? +
We configure failover routing so calls automatically redirect to mobile numbers if your internet fails. We can also arrange a 4G/5G or Starlink backup connection to keep your phones online alongside everything else.
We have multiple sites – can you support that? +
