Questions

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a leased line and broadband? +

Standard broadband is a shared connection – your bandwidth is shared with other users in your area, which can cause slowdowns at busy times. A leased line is dedicated to your business, providing symmetrical speeds (same upload and download), guaranteed bandwidth and a contractual uptime SLA. Leased lines cost more but offer significantly better reliability and performance.

How long does it take to install a leased line? +

Leased line installation typically takes between 30 and 90 days depending on your location and whether new infrastructure is required. We manage the entire process and keep you updated throughout. We can set up a temporary 4G connection to bridge any gap during installation.

What happens if our internet connection goes down? +

If you have a 4G/5G or Starlink failover in place, your traffic reroutes automatically the moment your primary line fails – keeping your business online. We also manage fault reporting and resolution with the carrier on your behalf, so you don’t have to spend time on hold to a network helpline.

Do I need a static IP address? +

A static IP is recommended if your business hosts any services, uses VPN connections for remote working, or requires consistent inbound connectivity. We can advise whether a static IP is right for your setup and include it in your connection package.

Can you provide Wi-Fi for our whole premises? +

Yes. Our managed Wi-Fi service covers your entire premises with secure, high-performance wireless access. We design the network, supply and install the hardware, configure security settings and manage it on an ongoing basis – including separate guest networks where required.
